December Fun

Yesterday was the first time this year that the snow actually stuck. It still wasn't very much but Jax had a blast playing in it! He loved when the snowflakes fell onto his face! His eyelashes are so long the snow kept landing right on them! We also made a gingerbread house and Jax loved that.....well he actually just loved eating the candy before we could put it on the house (my child indeed!) It turned out looking pretty good, it was our first time so hopefully it'll get better every year! Jax was a big help though, It's crazy for me to think he's big enough to help with stuff like that! He is so excited for Christmas, I didn't think he'd get the concept of Santa coming and bringing him presents till next year but he understands it all this year! He always says "Ho Ho come my house, and bring me toys!!" I just love him, it's amazing how he makes the simpliest things, be a total blast!

Bigfoot!

Tim has always been a big fan of Monster Trucks! Since we have been married he has got me hooked on them, and now Jaxon loves them too! Last week my Dad noticed there was a truck "Bigfoot" outside the Firestone in Riverton. Jax went to see it twice, once on Friday with me and my Dad and brothers, and once on Saturday with Tim and his Mom! He loved it, he would've sat there all day! He kept saying he wanted a ride in it and then he tried to jump in it! Looks like we have a future Monster Truck Driver on our hands.....bring on the Power Wheels!!!

Jax & Grandpa

He even got a signed picture from the driver!

Tim always liked this picture of him and his Dad by a monster truck when he was little. He decided to take one like it with him and Jax!

Jaxon's 2nd Birthday and Halloween!!

We had a few busy days this past weekend starting with Jax turning 2 on Thursday the 30th. I honestly can't believe my baby boy is already two years old! I know I always say this but he is growing up way to fast for me, although at the same time I am so excited to see what lies ahead of him. Tim and I were both able to get off work early on his birthday so we took Jax to the Kangaroo Zoo. That is really such a fun place for kids, and a great way to get some of their energy out! After playing there for a bit we met both my family and Tim's family at Olive Garden for dinner. I think the waiters were a little surprised to see so many adults at dinner for a 2 year olds birthday party, but he is one loved kid!
Happy Happy Birthday Jax! We love you!!!

Loving his birthday cake!

Tim & I got him a teeball set. Other than holding the bat backwards he's a pro!

The next day was Halloween! Jax was so excited to see his Aunt Pris and cousin Nash who came up from St. George for the weekend! Jax was a cowboy and Nash was a football player. We took them trick or treating together which was hilarious. Nash got the concept of it a lot more than Jax did, but they were both terrified of anyone who was wearing a mask or scary makeup on their faces. I think they spent more time running away from from people than actually trick or treating. Hopefully next year they'll understand it more, but they sure looked cute!!

Cowboy Jax

All ready to go! (Pris & Nash had just given Jax the baseball glove for his birthday and he loved it so much he wouldn't put it down!)

Bronson teaching the boys that when a sign says "please take one" that means take as many as you can grab!!

On Saturday, we did a combined birthday party for both boys since their birthday's are so close. We all went to Chuck E Cheese and they loved it. We all played games, ate pizza, opened presents and had birthday cake! (well only the 2 boys ate the cake because they dived into it before we could get it cut!) Both boys walked away with a lot of nice presents. It was so nice to have everyone together, both my Grandma & Grandpa Schroeder were there as well as my Grandma & Grandpa Hamilton! Happy Happy Birthday Boys!!!

Since HSM3 comes out in theaters today, I though I'd do something to get Tim more excited to go see it! Jax and I already love these movies but Tim isn't a fan of them. Although, I think he really loves watching them but he's just to embarrassed to admit it. So, here is his secret dream come true of getting to be like Troy Efron (that's what Tim calls him!) Personally, I think Troy has some competition for HSM4!
(For some reason if I wrote in the same post as the video, the video wouldn't work so I had to do two posts, sorry. Also, you may want to pause the music at the bottom of the blog)

Pumpkin Time!

Tonight we carved a pumpkin with Jax. It was his first pumpkin he helped carve and he had a blast! It's amazing how much more fun simple things are when you have kids.

Jaxon's Loves & Hates

Since I'm using this blog as our family scrapbook I figured I better write about what Jax loves and hates at certain ages. He is at such a fun age right now, his personality is really coming out! He is also starting to talk a ton! Sometimes he'll say something and I have honestly am shocked because he is so fast at learning new words and phrases! He is such a happy kid he doesn't have nearly as many hates as he does loves but there are a few things that really make him angry......

HATES:
-He hates when he sees people or pictures of people kissing! He gets a very disgusted look on his face and says "Ewwwww!!!"
-He hates his crib. I don't know why he is so scared of it but he won't sleep or even play in it.

-He hates the vacuum so I usually try to vacuum when he is playing outside with Tim. However, when I need to vacuum and it's just me and Jax home, he'll run into his room and slam the door.

-He hates my car, he usually always gets upset when we leave in the car instead of the truck.

-He hates being told no, or when we take something away from him.

-He hates anything that is hot. Even when it's not hot at all he makes a big fuss and yells "hot! hot!"
-He hates seeing people fight. If anyone is wrestling or even play fighting he gets really upset.

LOVES:
-He loves trucks, especially his daddy's truck! Whenever we are about to leave somewhere he usually says "go byebye daddy's big guck"

-He loves bikes (motorcycles) whenever he sees one he always gets very excited

-He loves horses, he has had rides on 3 different horses this summer and he can't get enough of it! Now he has his stick horse, (lame compared to the real horses he rode) but he loves it and rides it all over the house.

-He loves food, I have yet to find something that Jax doesn't like to eat which I'm very grateful for! He especially loves pasta!

-He loves his Daddy! I know he loves me too, but he is a daddy's boy through and through. It's so fun to watch them together!

-He loves basketball and football, or in his words "Hoops" and "Hike"

-He loves to help. Whether it's folding laundry, cooking dinner or doing dishes he is always there helping!

-He loves to make people laugh. He knows when he's the center of attention and if people are laughing at him, he'll do whatever it takes to keep them laughing. (Wonder where he gets that from...Tim!)

Jaxon's Audition Tape For HSM 4!!!

Jax has always liked music and about a year ago he started liking basketballs and footballs too! After watching High School Musical a few times, he started dancing while playing basketball! (I'm sure his future coaches will love that!) I put on the song from High School Musical while he was shooting hoops today and he loved it! He went on like this for about 40 minutes! I had to keep playing this song over and over again because he got mad when it would end and another song came on. Although, it was kind of nice, he got some good exercise inside on a rainy day!

Yay For Grass!

I never would have thought I'd get so excited to have grass! After a long summer of having to play inside we finally have a yard! Although it was well worth the wait! I have to brag about Tim for a bit, not only did he build our house all by himself, but he has now done the landscaping too. He had never done a sprinkling system before and he did ours with only the help of the internet! He has worked so hard this summer doing all this work himself just so he can save our family money by not hiring it out! I love my handy man! Also, thanks to Bronson, Ty and Tim's dad for coming and helping us lay the sod. We really appreciate it! Here are a few pics of the yard so far. We will hopefully be getting the curbing for the flower beds done this week. Then next summer we'll cement the rv pad and put up the fence and then it will FINALLY be totally done!! We can't wait!

Labor Day Weekend

Since it was a long holiday weekend my family and I went down to St. George to visit Jake, Pris and Nash. Of course, it was a blast and Jax and Nash were excited to see eachother. They have so much fun together, Nash kept telling Jax that they are best friends! Thanks to Jake and Pris for letting us come, I can't wait to see you guys in October!! Here are a few pics from our weekend!
The boys playing catch on the field after the Dixie football game!!
Riding Nash's four wheeler together!

Here's a video of Nash and Jax riding the four wheeler together. Jax had a blast, but I think Nash was a little bored cause he had to go so slow with Jax on the back of it. You can tell by their faces that they think they are so cool when they're riding it!haha

For everyone with little boys, Pris and I got these shirts at Children's Place for $2.99. They also have tons of cute shirts and shorts for $1.99!! Needless, to say we stocked up for next year too! I was pretty excited about the sale!

Giving hugs goodbye!
