Our Little Ballerina....sort of

Jaxon has been dancing since he could walk, haha that sounds funny....but it's true. Tim, like most dads, doesn't want to see his future soccer star/quarterback dancing around the house like Jax does every time he hears music. Although we do get a good laugh at it. He gets it all from me because if I don't have someone to watch him I have to take him to the studio with me when I teach dance. I don't know what it is about little girls in leotards and tights but it scares the heck out of Jax. He seriously hates it at the studio, but he does see the girls dancing a lot. Also, at home we keep our computer in our spare bedroom and all my dance songs are on our computer. I do all my choreography for my classes in that room and when Tim isn't home Jax is in with me. He sees me dancing and he tries to copy the moves I'm doing...Poor kid doesn't stand a chance. Anyway, last Sunday we were watching Mulan together hoping the Jaxon would fall asleep cause he didn't take a nap that day. Usually when he gets tired he either gets really mad and whiney, or really hyper. That day was a hyper tired day! He stayed awake the whole movie and when the credits came on he started dancing, although he was so tired he kept falling down while he was dancing....he's just so graceful!jk (Pause the music at the bottom of our blog before you watch the video)

The first song in the credits is a fast song that he dances to in the first video. In the second video the fast song ends and a slow song "Reflection" begins. Jaxon totally changes his dance moves from the fast song to the slow song. He is so funny!

Sprinklers

Last weekend Tim started installing the sprinklers in our front & backyard. Sprinklers are a lot more complicated then I ever imagined!! I'm sure glad Tim is so handy and knows how to do all sorts of house and yard stuff because I have no idea! Luckily, because of Tim's job he has everything he needs on hand in order to do the yard. He has our truck to tow and then he borrowed the trailer and the bobcat from his boss, and a couple other tools from his friend the concrete guy (he never tells me the names of the people he works with. He just calls the them the concrete guy, the stucco guy, the raingutter guy and so on, he's funny!) Anyway, after he got the yard all graded and trenched he started putting the pipe in. Again I'm glad he knows what he's doing cause I would have no clue. Hopefully the sprinklers will be totally finished by this weekend, then it's time for the grass and the fence. I seriously can't wait for a yard. I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually really excited to plant flowers and weed and have a nice yard for Jax to play in. That kid could play outside all day and night if we would let him. Anyway, here are a few pictures from that day and I'll put more up when we make some more progress on the yard.

Family Time

Last weekend, my Mom had the wonderful idea to go visit my brother Jake and his family in St. George. So, we all decided to make a trip out of it and surprisingly our whole family was able to go! We only get to see Jake, Pris and Nash every few months so it was really fun to be able to go and spend a weekend with them. The weather wasn't as warm as I was hoping it would be but we still had fun shopping, eating out and taking the boys to the park! It was a blast and I can't wait for our next family trip...hopefully in August!!
