Merry Christmas! A few days before Christmas my family went to temple square to see the lights. It was FREEZING but it was so fun and all the lights looked beautiful as always!

Classic Jax! Since when did my 4 year old turn into a teenager?
I received this email from a friend awhile ago, and I love to read it whenever I'm feeling down. It helps remind me to try and find the positive in everything and of how blessed I really am. With Thanksgiving being next week I'd thought I'd share and hopefully it'll help someone else too.
I AM THANKFUL
I AM THANKFUL FOR THE WIFE WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT, BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME, AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
FOR THE HUSBAND WHO IS ON THE SOFA BEING A COUCH POTATO, BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.
FOR THE TEENAGER WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS.
FOR THE TAXES I PAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM EMPLOYED .
FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.
FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.
FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE
FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME
FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION .
FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.
FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN HEAR.
FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.
FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.
FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.
AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH MAIL, E-MAIL, TEXT MESSAGES, AND PHONE CALLS BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

After the game we headed to Chuck E. Cheese to have his party with both mine and Tim's families. Here he is with the Power Rangers cake he requested, I messed up with the food coloring on the icing but he didn't seem to mind. He kept showing it off to everyone.
He was so spoiled by his Grandparents and Great Grandparents.
Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year, Jax also got to go trick-or-treating on his birthday. So, after Chuck E. Cheese, it was time to go home and get ready to go out and get some candy! This year for Halloween, Jax was Ironman and Whitney was a butterfly.

After we got back from trick-or-treating we surprised Jax with another present. He was so excited when he opened it!

Love her BIG blue eyes!
This is one of her favorite places to be! She loves to eat, her favorites are: pears, sweet potatoes, bananas, applesauce, wheat bread and her gerber puff and yogurt snacks. She just cut her 3rd tooth (1st tooth on top) this week. 
Her favorite person is still Jaxon. He can always make her laugh!
Here's a video of Whit doing her splits. It's the only way she can get up off of her tummy by herself. She is one flexible little girl!

She is 8 months today 
We also signed Jax up for fall soccer. He just started this week and he's having so much fun. He's got a really good little team and it is hilarious to watch them play. Here's a few pictures of his first practice and game.
