2 Weeks!

Tess is 2 weeks old!  She had her appointment and everything looks perfect.  She is up to 6 pounds 5 ounces....she's plumping up :) jk She's still so tiny!  I am so in love with her, and so grateful for a healthy report!

Cute Jax and Whit!  They were so concerned about Tessa while she was getting the PKU done.
Tess is so lucky to have the best big brother and big sister in the world!

Meet Tessa!

My induction date was July 15th, I was 39 weeks pregnant that day.  Tim and I had to be at the hospital at 4:30 am, which was great cause we couldn't sleep much anyway!  We got there at 4:30, checked in, got registered, and got hooked up so they could start monitoring the baby's heartbeat.
All hooked up and waiting for 6:30 to come so we can go in for the C-section.  I was so excited/anxious/nervous pretty much every emotion possible!  At 6:30 they transferred us to the operating room and started prepping me for surgery.  My doctor got there around 6:45 and they started the C-section.  It seemed like FOREVER until she was born, I couldn't feel anything so I didn't know how close she was to being out.  I was just trying to listen to the doctor & nurses to announce that she was here.  I'm so grateful to have Tim by my side, he is seriously such a comfort! Finally at 7:06 am I heard my doctor say "Oh, she is beautiful!" and seconds after I heard Tessa crying.  I'll never forget lying there as my doctor lifted Tess up over the curtain so I could see her for the first time.  I couldn't believe how tiny she was and how much she looked like Whitney.  Such an amazing moment for both Tim and I.

6 lbs 1 oz
18.5 inches long
She had a lot of fluid in her so they had to suck it out.  Tess wasn't a fan!

 Meeting our beautiful baby girl!
 So in love with her!
After she was born, Tim went with Tessa while the nurses took her to get the fluid out and get her bathed, while I was still in surgery.  They finished stitching me back up around 8:00 am and then they took me to the recovery room.  I waited in there for a few minutes and then Tim came in.  The nurses brought Tess in shortly after and I finally got to hold my baby girl for the first time!

She was wide awake for Mama!

It was so nice Tim and I had about an hour to enjoy Tessa all to ourselves before my parents came and brought Jax and Whit to meet her.  It was so nice (except the fact that I kept throwing up from the morphine) but I loved having that time for Tim and I to bond with her.
 Such a cute daddy!

My parents got there a little after 9 with our kids.  They were so excited to meet their baby sister!  Neither of them wanted to let her go!

Jax was so cute!  When he first held her, he turned to me and said "Mom, you did good work!" haha Then when it was time for them to go he said "How could you want to leave this precious little face?" such a stud!

 Our gorgeous girls!

 Heaven!  Love our beautiful kids!
Tim and I made these little kits to give to Jax and Whit at the hospital.  Everything has been about the baby lately and we wanted them to feel special too :)  They were filled with snacks, puzzles, toys and deposable cameras so they could take pictures of Tessa too.
We stayed in the hospital until the morning of the 18th.  We had tons of visitors and loved just relaxing and enjoying our sweet baby!

Can't believe we have 3 kids! So blessed!!!

Gonna Miss This.....

Can't believe I'm about done with this pregnancy!  It has gone by so fast compared to the other two.  Probably because we've been so busy buying/remodeling our home, and also keeping busy with Jax & Whit as well.  I'm getting induced tomorrow morning {C-section} I've been looking forward too, and counting down to July 15th for months now.  My feet and ankles have been so swollen it hurts to walk, I can't bend over anymore and to say I'm a little irritable would be an understatement!  And now that my due date is actually here, I find myself a little sad to not be pregnant anymore.  This may be my last pregnancy so I've been trying to savor it and take it all in.  I'm going to really miss feeling the movements, and knowing she's always with me.  I loved that whenever I was having a bad day at work, or feeling down, I would feel this sweet baby girl move inside of me and suddenly everything was perfect. I am so excited to meet her and hold her in my arms!
Ready to pop
Love my sweet kids!

This pretty much sums me up during pregnancy! haha
