Last month, Tim and I surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland! Neither of them have been out of Utah before and they both have been begging us to go! We didn't tell them about it until the morning we left. It was so hard to keep it a secret but it was well worth it.

After we landed in California we picked up the rental car and headed to the beach! Jax loved finding seashells and Whitney loved dancing in the sand. It was chilly, but beautiful!

The next day we woke up and walked over to Disneyland! The weather was perfect and the lines weren't bad at all.

I'm SO glad we went when they had all their Christmas decorations up. Everything looked so beautiful and I loved having the Christmas music playing!

Jax loved the wilderness explorer adventure. He went 3 different times and did awesome!
Since Whitney couldn't ride all the rides that Jax could, we decided to do a special lunch for her at Ariel's Grotto. Ariel is her favorite princess, and as soon as you walked down the stairs Ariel was right there to meet her. I think Whitney was in a little bit of shock when she first saw her! I was so excited for her I was shaking when I took these pictures.

After we met Ariel we sat down at our table and ordered our food. Then they brought out the other princesses one by one and they stopped at every table to meet all the kids. It was so fun to see Whitney's face and excitement when each princess came out.
Sleeping Beauty was cute too. She kept flirting with Jax, calling him her "handsome prince" Jax wasn't a fan of meeting all the princesses and kept ignoring her. I think he'll regret that someday :) He did enjoy the food though, as you can tell by how it's all over his face!

We were there for about 14 hours on the second day! We went back to the hotel and crashed! The third and last day we were there it was so packed. Way more than the first 2 days we were there. I didn't get a lot of pictures, and we didn't do a lot of the rides but we did get the see the Disneyland Parade, Aladdin the Musical, Disney Playhouse Live and a few other shows!
Whitney wanted to see Rapunzel so she and I started off there.
We waited in line for almost an hour to see her. Look at Whit's face, she was so excited! We finally got into the tower and Rapunzel was still visiting with another girl. While they were talking, in walks Flynn Rider from the back door. Noooooo! Whit was scared of the boy characters the entire trip and as soon as she noticed him she got terrified and wouldn't talk to Rapunzel at all. Dang you Flynn Rider! Wish he would've waited 5 more minutes before joining Rapunzel. The good part is that Jax enjoyed a nice conversation with him! haha
Pooh Bear tried to get Whit to go on his other side so he could put his arm around her for the picture and she wouldn't do that, but hey, at least she's in the picture and smiling :)

After another long day we sadly left Disneyland and headed back to the hotel. We were starving so we went and got Taco Bell and some Mcflurrys (2 of our family favs) to eat in our room! It was so fun just to hang out, talk and laugh about the trip. I'm so excited we were able to go and enjoy this time with the kids!
