Valentines 2014

IT'S A............

Tim and I are shocked and excited! This is the first pregnancy we've had that we honestly didn't care if it was a boy or girl.  We already have one of each so we were just excited to see what the second boy, or the second girl would be like.  However, this entire pregnancy we both thought for sure it would be a boy.  

The ultrasound tech asked us what we thought it was and we both said boy, and she right away said "Nope, all I'm seeing is girl!"  We were both shocked!  I being emotional like I am,.... started crying, all happy tears of course because I was thrilled at the thought of having 2 daughters!  As we walked out of the office, I asked Tim how he felt about it (because all along he said he was fine either way)  and he admitted he was excited, but also nervous at the the thought of having 2 girls.  I think it's just the protective Daddy side coming out :)

Later that afternoon we told the kids that we found out they were getting a baby sister.  I was nervous because I knew how badly Jax wanted a little brother. Whitney started jumping for joy and Jax even smiled and seemed happy!  Then I asked Jax if he was excited, and his smile disappeared and he ran done the hall crying.  I felt awful!  Tim followed him down the hall and had a man to man talk with him.  Jax told Tim "I don't think I can live like this with all these girls"  haha poor kid. After their talk together Jax came out and said he really is excited, he just really wanted a brother.  I'm praying he can have a brother someday.  

For now we're excited and anxious for this little girl to join our family!  I feel so blessed and can't wait to meet her!
